Monday 30 April

My first outing of a top I got on the weekend; like many of the best things in life it was $10!! Bargain eh? The colour is interesting; mustard I guess you'd call it. Not entirely convinced it suits me, but anyhey.

The fabric is like a slightly less thick version of the rusty Lush top that I can barely bring myself to take off. The off kilter frill is pretty cool I reckon. Turns out it is the only thing that matches this skirt - I got this in 2005, and I reckon I've worn it maybe a handful of times. Black tights and boots. How exotic!

Sunday 29 April

Woke up in far better condition today DTTERs! And the same as last Sunday, I rode on over to St Kilda for a breakfast date. I got less lost than last week, but still pretty lost.

Here's me having a pit stop on a bike ride with Eileen; for her second go on a bike in 30 years she did very well. New white singlet ($10, from Sadie outlet, purchased yesterday), navy jeans I got in Germany last year for 60 euros, navy scarf was $5 from Cotton On, and this paisley lightweight top I got last year I think? Pretty sure it's from Zara. Also wearing my old Cons for a last hurrah.

DD is going to the UK on Tuesday for a week; he showed me his travel outfit and I have put it here for your viewing pleasure. He is under strict instructions not to sit next to any girls. It is a hell of an improvement on his Texan Tuxedo and Whitesnake t-shirt, is it not?

He also showed me these that he had packed  for warmth - I shit you not- tights, 10 quid from Camden markets a few years back. Aptly, we watched Spinal Tap tonight; alas I think it was just a coincidence :)

Saturday 28 April

Today I made DD breakfast of tea and toast and a side of light entertainment, as I delivered it straight from the pub. Oh. My.

When I finally raised my sorry head later in the day, I thought I should try and make the most of the day so I went shopping. Fool.

On the upside, I did get a few bits and pieces that I shall roll out in time. I also finally replaced my Cons, which are unwearable and have been for months. I broke my own rule and bought the same colour as last time - purple.

Here's the tread, as I did myself a favour and didn't take an outfit pic today.

fri april twenty seven

Same black jeans as last night, grey t-shirt from Ange and black hoodie. Green felt bag from my brother James in Japan (i suspect his wife, Tamaki, chose it).

Friday 27 April

The highlight of today was karaoke with the workmates. The pictures say it far better than words. I wore blue jeans and a boring black top; I looked better than I sounded. Spot the DTTE repeat offenders! :)

Special mention of Skye's awesome new dress - white lace, ooh la la! Specially matched with blue tights and jewelry - she looked awesome but alas by the end of the day had succombed to something yukky. Get better soon lady :)

thurs april twenty six

Bit dark, this one. Thursday night after drinks with Dave, Kate Narissa and Aaron. Black saba jeans, blue & white long sleeve tee from Just Jeans ($15) and black FCUK jacket.

Thursday 26 April

Black shirt from Marcs; it was marked down when I got it, it's a little big but I like it nonetheless. Check skirt from Mango last year for 10 euro, and black boots. Meh.

Getting a haircut tomorrow. For reals. Looking shiteous the past few weeks, I gotta do something about it!

weds april twenty five

adam and julzie, bright and early at elevenish. julz is dressed for a romance in a toronto maple leafs tee (adam's hockey team). addy is all jaunty in cap and flanny.

edward. so handsome. so cold. we were not dressed for the 2-11 degree day we spent up there. ed's jacket is from u-turn on crown street.

Me. In bettina liano jeans, which are getting threadbare (tried to find the same pair in myer and couldn't, had a terrible time trying), green and white top from made and black FCUK jacket, boots.

edward in katoomba music, dan and mish's music store. it's awesome - so many pretty guitars.

dan, who spots a rockabilily quiff these days, and Q, who is now three and absolutely delightful.

tues april twenty four

Elissa! Seven weeks to go til twins and in her last week of work. Woman is a serious trouper. This is her favourite maternity dress that someone gave her.

later that day we surprised julzie for her birthday and drove to the blue mountains after work, meeting her at the gorgeous champagne charlie's cocktail lounge at the carrington. she's in a beautifully cut black dress she bought in france last year and cherry red patent campers for $50 she bought on the same trip. $50!

here's addy looking (but not being) mean over dinner at the rooster, a french restaurant in katoomba where we stayed. (in a charming guesthouse, not in the restaurant). was a lovely evening.

me and Ed. Ed bought the shirt in koo in paddington somewhere.

here's me. now, another question for DTTErs? Am i breaking the leggings-are-not-pants rule here? technically this dress is a shirt but on a shorter girl it would be okay... anyway, i bought it from kmart a couple of days ago for $19, as it has horses on it and we were in the country. i'm wearing it with 120 denier black tights (not even leggings!) and my brown boots.

Tuesday April 24

Everyone was ratty today, I think because we were all looking forward to having a public holiday again so soon! DD and I caught up with some folk for dinner; alas I only really got pics from the cab on the way home! It's a shame because I was wearing a great outfit today!

Black Lush dress that set me back 98 big ones a month or so ago. Wore it with black boots and tights, as it's just a wee bit too short to wear without them. Red wool coat I got at Fitzroy markets for $20 last year; what a bargain eh?? It's from Just Jeans or something like that. It's slightly pink and very comfy. The green scarf I think was a gift from either Karizy or my mum; it matched the jacket perfectly.

And because I am a mean biatch, and because it now lives on my loungeroom floor, here is DD sporting a belt he picked up off the road in Richmond last night. It's hideous, is it not? Someone must have woken up gutted that they'd lost their belt!

mon april twenty three

was rainy, as you can gather. i'm in a black pencil skirt i took from my mum after she retired, brown boots and black FCUK rainjacket, red gap top secondhand form neutral bay. bag was from sportsgirl via kimmy and ladies secret santa.

Monday 23 April

Awww look at that face will you?! It was a tough day; computers didn't work til late in the afternoon and it's a public holiday week so that makes everyone a bit ratty. Especially me apparently! Oh dear.

Black Promod pants I got in Bangers, tan t-bone wedges that were 10 quid in Nottingham a few years back, black top was 5 quid from Top Shop last year, and the lovely silk top I got at a warehouse sale in Collingwood for 15 large last year. Attitude FREE.

Sunday 22 April

Elise and I had a Skype date to watch Insiders this morning.  The striped top is from Mooks in Singapore and the padded cycling shorts were a Christmas gift from my brother a few years ago. Look how fken RIDICULOUS my hair is at the moment - I'd say it looks like an overgrown mullet, but, it is an overgrown mullet. Now that my coldsore has cleared up and the enormous lump on my forehead has subsided, I am getting a haircut this week FO SHIZ.

Elise is looking hawwt in her terry towelling bathrobe is she not, DTTErs??  Elise,  you are falling behind on the bloging - keep on lady, keep up!

I was all dressed up (cough) to have a brunch date with Eileen in St Kilda; we also managed to buy her a bike, which is pretty exciting! She hadn't been on one for over 30 years; despite this I made her go up and down her street and through a roundabout a few times - she did it with style too.

Saturday 21 April

Last night ended up being quite big.

I had an outfit change to go to a soiree; here's me in the gym admiring the equipment and drinking a beer, as you do. Red Red Cross skirt ($7), black Veronika Maine rouched top, black boots, brown Zara jacket.

Next day was not pretty. Here's DD, very early in the Carlton/Essendon game. The game was many things; a nail biter it was not. Note the collared shirt/footy jersey combo he is so fond of.

Here's me, looking rather unkempt. Blue Campers, navy a-line skirt (fresh off the floor), the spotty H&M 50s style top I haven't worn for quite a while, and brown Zara jacket.

fri april twenty

here's me after stamping down the recycling, which dawgs thought was hilarious and snapped. he is becoming quite the photmagrapher - anything in the name of DTTE. i'm in a black portmans skirt, black review top and maroon heels i bought in the U of K in 2009 which are having a renaissance lately.

Me and Reinski later that evening at the devonshire, his farewell with some of the CHOICE peeps.

Michael and Rosie.

Friday 20 April

How's the body language hey? I don't like this top - and never have. It is totally unflattering, apart from the print and is going in the Salvos bag ASAP. It's got elastic in the middle and I feel about 150kg. ugh.

Navy jeans and brown Lonsdale shoes that are on their last legs! Might need to do some shopping soon methinks.

Oh and here's Snaggies, celebrating the summertime. He looooooves me right now I can tell you.

thurs april nineteen

here's edward at the aussie youth one lunchtime where we ducked in for some respite. he is wearing one of his many flannies which he claims to have been wearing since before they were cool. you may notice he is sans beard, for a job interview. he shaved it off gradually so as not to scare anyone with his naked face, which is lovely, as it turns out.

me in a wool top i bought in paddington, review skirt and black boots.

a before and after beard shot i put together while waiting for rich to fix my computer at work. my money's on beard - shall we put it to a vote, DTTErs?

Thursday 19 April

It's the return of the outfit that nobody but me likes!

Promod TV-on-the-blink dress, with Pimkie long sleeve white t underneath and 10 quid tan t-bar shoes on bottom. Here's hoping this Indian summer keeps on keeping on.

weds april eighteen

cannot remember what i did this eve but here's me in our loungeroom, mid makeover. ed has a lot of books and trainspotters will understand how much this pleases me. i'm wearing a black review top with knotted bow, black saba jeans and black boots from italy, that cligger bought for me.

Wednesday 18 April

Not quite sure what the story is with the helicopter arms, but hey that's life on the edge for you! Here I am behind Skye's office door, yet again. This outfit I wore in one of our very early posts; Veronika Maine silk top that that I insist on wearing with a bulky slip underneath (not flattering, but then again nor is the tie around the waist).

Skirt is Portman's, bought second hand in Bondiiii a year and a half ago. Reminds me of the red short sleeved cardy that I lost last year. Grumble grumble.

But looky look Elise - I'm wearing my new heels! Got them at the markets with George. 50 shmucks brand new, Camper. They are flattering to the leg too, if I do say so myself.

Tuesday 17 April

Here's me posing in Skye's office in front of a sign helpfully called "The words you need to stop misspelling". Thought that applied to me, seeing as I never use a spell check and really should.

Red Cross skirt ($7 in Balmain), top from a shop in Stockholm was an unknown amount of kroner on my 30th birthday (do they have even kroners? Too lazy to check), red shoes from Diana Ferrari outlet in Syds around Christmas from memory. I'm also wearing red earrings George made me many moons ago.

Monday 16 April

Bit rough today, having woken up at 4:45 to traipse back to Sydney to get to work on time.

It was worth it though - Dan is back from stalking Bruce Springsteen across the USofA and was bearing gifts! I got a Mets tattoo sleeve - how fricken hilarious is it? I've been obsessed with them since I saw a 4 year Collingwood supporter with one in the Herald Sun. Elise... maybe it's time for some DTTE merch??

Not sure how many days in the past fortnight I've worn this skirt but it's A LOT. Navy spotty top I got at Monsoon last year for a steal; blue tights are serving their purpose well and have lasted longer than more expensive tights so that's a good start. Blue Campers round it off - that's a hell of a lot of mismatching blue right there, and it doesn't even include the navy scarf I was also wearing.

Do as I say DTTErs, not as I do :)

mon april sixteen

i forgot to take a photo on monday but here's harry doing a pretty good impersonation of me in our monday morning meeting. still not feeling 100% well.

Sunday, 15 April 2012

Sunday 15 April

We started today with a family breakfast BBQ; if that doesn't sound healthy enough for you, it included beers, which started a bit before 10am. There was an equal chance Mum would or wouldn't crack the sads; she did well and took it all in her stride. Hallelujah to that.

Here's a self-timer shot; you've seen everyone here before. My brothers are wearing typical outfits - t-shirt and shorts. Neither of them wear jeans often, and never, ever a jumper (though occassionally they will wear a jacket).

My sister in law's were both looking gorgeous - Vroni's dress in particular I like (she got it earlier this year, that's all I know. It's pretty flattering for a maxi dress). My mama is looking well no? That pale blue suits her - she is on a health kick and is pleased that top fits her now. Clearly we all got the memo about being colour co-ordinated!

I wore my orange top that everyone loves so much, and hey presto, Mum said it looked great so it must be true. Worn with Lush a-line navy skirt and my Roman sandals that I forgot to wear all summer. DD wearing his playing with the boys Top Gun t-shirt again.

We managed to get a visit in with baby Jack; he doesn't blink and reminds me of a little koala. This pic was taken as we arrived; he had fallen asleep despite them trying to keep him awake so I could have a play. We are laughing at him and OK yes I admit I poked him a bit but he slept like the dead. Mama Lucille was looking radiant and happy and relaxed. She makes it look super easy.

His t-shirt says I'm with the Band - tres cute. Got him a pair of socks with cows with bells in them as a little gift; hopefully he will love them. They entertained the adults pretty well for a few hours that's for sure.

sun april fifteen

ladies lunch, trainstyle to fort denison on the harbour (there was also a ferry involved). B's in a H&M top with leggings, karen in a beautiful black and orange (bottom) dress and kerchief.

super arm, uni boob and julzie laughing at ourselves

my sister trace. i can't place anyone's outfits today as i was still feeling ill.

little tiny the matchstick girl. actually i know this one - dress from mr stinky, $35.

Riss's black skirt is from review, she normally wears it to work and it is really cute. mustard looks great on top.

me in my secondhand alannah hill frock and maroon shoes from the uk in 2009.
